Yolanda T. Conklin, aka Candy, of Blakeslee, PA formerly of Paterson, NJ, passed away Friday March 8, 2024 at the Monroe County Hospice House, East Stroudsburg. She is the wife of Theodore Conklin. The couple was married for 56 years.
Born in Paterson, NJ she is the daughter of the late Dennis and Yolanda Scalzitti. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, 2 children, and 4 grandchildren as well as some cherished friends.
She enjoyed writing poetry, crocheting, listening to music, and dancing.
Some of her favorite musical talents included Elvis Presley, Lou Monte, Frank Sinatra, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Dolly Pardon.
She was a large fan of Betty Boop and Family Feud as well. One of her favorite sayings was, “yeah right,” and she always randomly thanked everyone for everything.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters Dawn Burgess, Melody Rodriquez, a sister Theresa Capo, grandchildren Liberty Sonnemann, Keyan LaRiviere, Makayla Rodriquez, Kiara Rodriquez; a great grandchild Brandon Sonnemann Jr.; Nieces Kathleen Clauss, Christie Capo; Nephews Eugene McGuinness and Kevin Scalzitti.
She was preceded in death by a sister Denise Sandig and brothers Dennis Scalzitti and Frank Scalzitti.
A Memorial Service Will be held at a later date.
