Born in Brooklyn, NY, October 1, 1946, to the late Earl Shindledecker and Kathleen Carroll Shindledecker, John is survived by the love of his life, Theresa, for 39 years, and a family of cats.

John will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, his generous spirit, and abiding love for nature, special tenderness for all animals, especially his love of his family cats.
