
Shirley J. ( Myers) Neail of Spring Grove, Pa.
Peacefully entered God’s eternal care on December 22, 2024
Born on August 1, 1935 in Hanover, Pa., Shirley was the Daughter of Raymond C. and Beulah (Wetzel) Myers. She was the loving wife of William (Bill) Neail Sr. with whom she
shared 71 years of marriage.
Shirley graduated with the class of 1953 from Eichelberger High School, Hanover, Pa. Following graduation, Shirley and Bill married while Bill was still in the usaf and became a military wife.
Shirley enjoyed traveling with her husbands business trips particularly the time living in Trinidad, where she was a proud member of The American Women’s Club. Shirley was an avid reader.
Being a wife, and mother was her greatest joy in life, she once said “ I have the best diploma ever, in motherhood”
Shirley was preceded in death by her Parents, her Infant Brother – Jimmy Myers, Son Douglass James Neail, and son-in-law Frank DeCello III.
Shirley is survived by her children, William Richard Neail Jr, and his wife Leslee, of San Diego, California, Diane Neail, wife of Douglass, Hanover, Pa, Sharon D. Martin, and husband Jeff, of York, Pa., Barbara J. Burgen, and husband, Loren of Spring Grove, Pa. and Teresa (Teri) A. Miller, and husband Aaron, of New Oxford, Pa., and her brothers, Manard Masemer, of Old Hickory, Tn, and Jay Myers, of Spring Grove, Pa.
Shirley has fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, as well as two great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
