Milan John Getting, a long-time resident of Nutley , recently of Scranton , Pa. , passed away on June 11, 2015. He was husband to Joyce Getting who passed in October 2014.
Father of seven children, grandfather of 23 grandchildren and great grandfather of multitudes, Milan was a chemical engineer with BASF/Inmont and has many patents to his name. He was an Eagle Scout, a musician and an accomplished athlete. He was very active in Nutley Little Theatre, Boy Scouts of America, the Nutley High School Music Boosters and was very proud of his Slovak heritage.
A private repast for the family, honoring both Milan and Joyce, will be held on Sunday, July 12, 3:00 to 5:00 pm, at the Chestnut Café, 338 Passaic Avenue , Nutley . Friends are welcome to pay their respects from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
