Linda Rae (Dalrymple ) Hensley, 69, died Thursday, August 14, 2014 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa, surrounded by her family.
Born June 14, 1945 in Scranton, Pa., daughter of the late Carolyn Francis Townsend and Gerald Curtis Dalrymple, she attended Scranton Technical High School.
Linda will be remembered serving as a firefighter and emergency medical technician in Hawley, Pa., in her early years. She then spent many years of avid fishing on Lake Hamilton, Ark., before returning to northeast Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her three children, Tracy (Ronnie) Graham of Sherwood, AR; Steve (Cherese) Harrity of Triangle, VA; and David (Nancy) Harrity of Alexandria, VA; and four grandchildren; and her partner Clarence “Butch” Detrick.
She was preceded in death by three siblings, Jeannie, Carolyn and Curtis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
Services were private at the convenience of the family.
