Linda C. Langan, 72 of Northampton, Pa., passed away peacefully Thursday (March 21, 2024).
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., daughter of the late J. Howard and Dorras Altherr Cain, she was a graduate of Abington Heights High School, Clarks Summit and went on to earn an associate’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, Scranton. She was a talented seamstress and crafts-person whose folk art earned her membership for many years in the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen. She later worked as a dental assistant prior to becoming a personal care aide, most recently at Sacred Heart Senior Living. She was a member of the Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville, Pa. She loved spending time with her family and friends, animals, including her many pets, traveling to state parks, her favorites of which were in Texas, hiking, music and dancing.
Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Langan, Topton; a son, Brian J. Langan and, wife Ann, Breinigsville; her partner, Bill Townsend, Northampton; sisters, Diane Roland and partner, Robert, Clarks Summit; Roberta Fassett and husband, Martin, Elberton, Ga.; grandchildren, Jacob Rinehimer, Tayler Roberts, Emily, Alexandria and Nathaniel Langan, Nathan and Tyler Moser; great-grandchildren, Miles and Liam; many nieces and many cousins; and her beloved dog, Evan.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James H. Cain III.
Her family would like to thank Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
