John graduated from Ridge High School in 1977, and later owned and operated his own tiling business for 30 years. Most recently he was employed at Construction Specialties, Inc. in Lebanon, NJ. Surviving are his significant other for the past 13 years, Patricia Wagner; John’s daughters Nichole Fortier Young and husband Skylar, and Leslie Fortier; ex-wife Heather Fortier; sisters Karen Martin and husband Al, Lisa Slifko and husband Corey, Cheryl Fortier and husband Rick Horan; brothers Rich, Jim, Tom, Bob and wife Dawn, and Ken and wife Elisabet; and nine nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are Patricia Wagner’s sons and family, who John considered family: Rocco Bravoco and wife Kerry and their son, Joseph Bravoco and wife Olivia and their son, as well as Patricia’s 3 sisters Joan Stults and husband Mark and her 3 children, Nancy Carita and her 3 children, and Claire Gavornik and her 5 children and their families.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 12-5 PM at Whispering Pines at Holland, 971 Milford Warren Glen Road, Milford, NJ,08848. Friends and family are welcome to come and spend time together.

John was such a wonderful generous man! He offered a home to the needy, always had a great joke to share and cherished family. God needed a loving, caring, hard worker to tile a great stairway to heaven! Thanks for the influence you had on my daughters Tiffany & Renee and for helping my ex-Jimmy when no one else would.
