Janice Anne Moyer, 66, of Plains Township passed away early morning, Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, in Geisinger Health System in Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Alexandria, Va., on April 9, 1949, daughter of the late, Donald and Flora Moyer, Janice attended Hanover area schools and resided in Plains Township.
It was Janice’s calling to help those who couldn’t speak for themselves or who were forgotten by their families by dedicating her life to being a CNA at Valley Crest Nursing Home and Birchwood Nursing Home. She always made certain her patients felt like family and had a vested interest in their well being both physically and mentally prior to her retirement six years ago.
She was a loving sister, aunt, great-aunt and dear friend whom will be forever missed.
She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Richard Moyer, Saddlebrook, N.J.; sisters, Laurie Langan and husband, James, Wilkes-Barre; Carol Hopkins, Hunlock Creek; eight nieces and nephews; and great-aunt to 21 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe made in Janice’s name to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612.
