James Patrick Henehan, 88, of Scranton, died Sunday at The Gardens at Scranton. His wife was the late Lois Arscott Henehan.
Born in Scranton he was the son of the late James and Catherine Hoover Henehan. He worked as the plant manager for many years and retired from Enzymes, Inc.
James absolutely loved boxing. He fought and trained for many years. One of the boxers he trained was “Irish” Gene Reed. “Irish” said Jim was instrumental in starting his boxing career.
James also loved to sing, was a wonderful tap dancer and very proud of his Irish heritage.
Surviving are a grandson Christopher Henehan and his wife Lori Greenwood-Henehan, Scranton; great grandchildren John Patrick Henehan, Christopher Henehan and Corey Henehan and a great great granddaughter Gabriella Henehan. .
He was preceded in death by his son William A. Henehan April 23, 2018.
