In Loving Memory of Donald A. Torrey, a long time resident of Stroudsburg passed away peacefully Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family. His wife the late Barbara Layton Torrey passed away in June of 2015. The couple was married in 1953.
Donald was born in 1933 in Trenton, NJ, son of the late Albert and Bertha Conover Torrey. He was a diesel mechanic. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Surviving are a Son William and wife Sherry Torrey, daughters Donna Hughes and Jerry Hughes Jr., Debra Campbell and Lorie Durante; a sister Gloria Olschewski; 11 Grandchildren, 12 Great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son Michael Torrey who passed away July of 2016.
Donald’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to C C Hospice, A L H Care Assoc, B ‘N Call and SE H Health, Pastor Linda Keefer and Pastor Dana Antal.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 7th at 11:00am in the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360, to be officiated by Pastor Linda Keefer.
