Bridget Clary, RN, 65 of Dunmore died peacefully at Allied Services Hospice surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 17,1959, she was the daughter of the late William and Olga Clary. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School class of 1977. She furthered her education at Lackawanna Vo Tech to become an LPN. Realizing this was her passion, she became an RN after graduating from Luzerne Community College.
After years of home health care and hospice work in Scranton, Bridget became a travel nurse and fell in love with low country of SC and worked in Beaufort. Her illness made her return north and be with family.
She adored her work and no one was more dedicated and loving to her patients. Her first and favorite patient was her sister, Lynn, whom she nursed through three cancer diagnoses. She loved that she played a part of her surviving all of them. Bridget also had the gift of being witty. She could make anyone laugh and brighten up their day.
Bridget loved her collection of pottery and glassware. She was always on the lookout for great buys at estate and garage sales. Her home was always decorated with her latest finds that gave it a warmth as soon as you entered.
She will always stay in our hearts and be dearly missed.
Surviving are her two sons, Ian, Scranton and Ernie, Hawaii. Also her seven sisters, Marie Ash, Sister Kathleen Clary, SSJ, Joan Nicholson, Pat Hunter, Sue Clary (Joe), Laurie Powell (John) and Lynn Olechna (Gene). Nieces, nephews, and cousins and her fur baby Bandit.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill, and brother in laws, Will Hunter and John Nicholson.
The family would like to thank her dearest friends, Beth and Karen for their love, kindness and time given to her. Also to Traditional Home Health and Allied Services Hospice for their compassionate care.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Corey Brian Strauch Funeral Home.
