Albert, husband, father, brother and grandfather passed away at the age of 72 on May 26, 2016. Al was born February 25, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY. He was predeceased by his parents Pauline Barchuck (maiden) and Bert Conti. A graduate of Boys High in Brooklyn, NY, he went on to have careers at Bache & Company on Wall Street, as well as the owner of Alcon Personnel Agency, and Vintage Matters, an antiques business formerly known as Shady Lane Antiques. Al’s journey began in Brooklyn and he lived in Old Bridge and Holmdel, NJ, and retired to Mount Bethel, PA. Al was an accomplished bowler, enjoyed the theater, his music, and cocktail hour. Al is survived by his wife Jessica Walshe Conti formerly of Glen Rock, his daughters Janine Zirrith, Denise Meola, their husbands Chris Zirrith and Rich Meola, four beloved grandchildren; Chelsea and Paige Zirrith, and Michael and Joseph Meola, and his brother Joseph Conti and sister-in-law Carol Conti. A Memorial will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at C.C. Van Emburgh 306 E. Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ (www.vanemburgh.com) between 10 AM-12 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Al’s memory to The American Cancer Society , 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
