
Joseph Henrie, 69, of Exeter, formally Hunlock Creek, passed away peacefully, after a long illness, on Saturday, April 25 at Highland Manor with his loving wife by his side.
Born on January 13, 1957 in Nanticoke. He was the youngest of three children of the late Keith and Lois Henrie. He was a graduate of Northwest Area High school, class of 1974.
After high school he moved to California to be with the love of his life, Ginanne. Together they started a beautiful family and eventually moved back to their hometown to raise them near family.
Joe was employed by a few places over the year but most notably Maier’s Bakey (Berwick) and Ward Trucking (Wilkes-Barre)
In addition to his parents, he was proceded in death by his son, Christopher.
In addition to his lovely wife of 47 years, Virginia (Ginanne), he is also survived by his sister, Colleen Curtain (Savannah, Ga), his daughter Amanda Kalmanowicz and her husband Dan; daughter Tavelynn Karpovich and her husband John Paul; Grandchildren Nick, Craig, Charlotte, Georgia and Hailey; and several nieces and nephews.
He was an amazing husband and a wonderful father and grandfather (Pop), he will be missed beyond measure.
