Glenn Wiliam Huber, 69, of Hawley, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 22, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents Helen (Dietrich) Huber and Wilbur C.E. Huber of Hosensack, PA; his sister Grace (Huber) and husband Robert Slonaker of Kraussdale, PA, and his sister Joan (Huber) and husband Charles Gruber of Hereford, PA. Glenn is survived by his brother Clair W. Huber and wife Sheila (Wentzel) Huber of Mildred, PA.
Glenn enjoyed working on the farm as a kid. He took to working on the tractors, but his real passion was working on his ‘69 Ford Mustang.Glenn graduated from Southern Lehigh HS. After graduation, he worked at Beck Brothers Tractors in Emmaus, PA and WT Grants in Quakertown.Subsequently, Glenn went to work for Longacres in Franconia, PA, where he began his truck driving career. Later, Glenn worked for TRL Trucking Company in Pittston and Shooky’s Distributor at Lake Wallenpaupack until he retired.
Glenn was a blue-collar worker through and through, but it was his love for his children that brought him to the Pocono’s so he could be closer to them. Glenn was well known by the locals around the lake. He could often be found tinkering in his garage, sharing stories and a beer with friends and family. Glenn was fun loving, always quick with a smile or joke, and willing to lend a helping hand if you needed it.
Glenn is survived by his children, Timothy Huber and wife Pennie of Hawley, PA, Brian Schan and partner Becky Dutko of Tafton, Pa, and Pam Polachek and husband Michael Polachek of Hawley, PA; his grandchildren Kaylene Falco (Kenneth), Nicholas Schan (Tamara), Brielle Kuzmiak (Michael), Michael Polachek III (Nicole), Evan Huber, and Lydia Huber; as well as his five great-grandchildren (and one on the way).
