Chapman Kim Buskirk

Chapman Kim Buskirk, 27, of Kunkletown PA, entered into Eternal Peace in Christ Jesus, October 28, 2025, with parents Tracy Elissa Buskirk and Kim Allen Buskirk at his side.

Chapman, our beautiful happy “Chappy” came into this world 2-months premature in Bethlehem PA and spent his 1st-month of life in the NICU before coming home. Chapman was baptized and later confirmed at St. Matthew’s Church in Kunkletown. He had many special needs from birth: therapies, special therapists and teachers, specialty doctors and surgeries throughout his life, but he was a “Warrior” thru all the hard moments, and he touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He had a smile that brought joy to the heart and would light up a room, and his laughter was absolutely contagious. Chapman was Easter Seals Child Representative 1999-2000, and from age two he became a Special Equestrian for a number of years in the R.I.S.E. program, later called Equi-librium Inc, where he received physical therapy while riding on a therapy horse. He even won the contest submitting a name for the newest therapy horse, which was T.I.M. (Therapy-in-Motion).  Chapman loved horses, and in August 2010 he was granted a Make-A-Wish trip to fly out to Heart Six Ranch, Moran, WY, where he had his own special horse, that the Wranglers prepared for him to ride on every morning and afternoon for the entire week. Chappy enjoyed sunset wagon-rides, a cook-out at Teton Overlook, breakfast out on the open range, campfires, a cozy cabin, hearing and watching each morning and evening the cowbells ringing and the Wrangles cracking their bullwhips as they drove the many horses on the ranch in for the morning and out to the open range in the evening. Besides this wonderful memory, Chappy always looked forward to his MFR therapy sessions that gave him relief, he also loved music, good food, going to Church and to Sight & Sound Theater, getting outdoors, swimming, and visitingfriends, family gatherings and special school events outings & Special Olympics. He attended Pleasant Valley, Paxinosa, and Northampton schools, and received his H.S. Diploma 2019. Thereafter, Chappy received Direct In-Home & Community Supports from his loved ones.

In addition to his parents, surviving: Big-brother Mason Allen Buskirk of Kyushu, Japan, Grandmother Rosemarie Stranahan, Aunt Jeannie Marie Mitsos, Uncle Donald Eugene Stranahan II with wife Sheila and children Cullen Lyell and Shaelea Marie, of Northampton, Uncles Kevin Eugene Buskirk of Bangor, James Scott Buskirk of Lacon IN, and numerous cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to St. Matthew’s ECC, 102 Church Road, Kunkletown, PA 18058.

A celebration of Chapman’s life and love will be held Friday, November 21, 2025 6:00 p.m. at St. Matthew’s ECC in Kunkletown, officiated by Pastor Wil Hoffman.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Chapman. Although we never met Chappy, we heard from his grandmother of the wonderful attitude and disposition he had. To have a child with special needs provides an opportunity of deep love and devotion. You were blessed to have had that opportunity for 27 years. May God be with you and your family during this difficult time.
