Charles “Chuck” M. Hanis, 73, of Jessup, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones Wednesday evening at Geisinger CMC after a lengthy illness.
Born in Dunmore, son of the late Mike and Sally Hanis.
He was a graduate of Dunmore High School. After graduation, he honorably served in the United States Army as a Specialist Fifth Class (SP5) for 11 years, before dedicating the remainder of his career to construction.
Surviving is his wife of 30 years, MaryAnn; daughter Lisa Przypek and husband, Mark, Duryea; granddaughters Arielle and Marissa Kuchwara; great grandchildren Eva and Luca; nephew Mike Hanis and wife, Jennifer, Dickson City.
He was proceeded in death by his brother Mike Hanis.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
