Marjorie “Margie” Emily Fisher 93, passed away on August 18th, 2025.
Serving others was Margie’s most valuable accomplishment. She left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. Margie graduated from Morrisville (PA) High school. She studied Special Education, Real Estate, and Spanish.
Margie was grateful and blessed to be a stay at home Mom at her small farm in Montour Falls New York. She volunteered at her childrens’ elementary school and especially loved working with students with special needs.
She helped manage the small farm while raising her children. When her children were older, she managed a sign business with her husband and worked in a specialty gift shop where she then retired in 1994.
Margie loved Mexican culture and traveled to Mexico to visit her brother and vacation there. Margie also enjoyed traveling to New Mexico, California, Delaware, and Montreal. She especially enjoyed visiting her cousin and her husband in Hamilton, New Jersey for traditional “Trenton” Pizza. She loved the beach, especially the beauty of Spring Lake, NJ and the many fond memories of Seaside Heights, NJ with her family.
Margie enjoyed reading, baking, ceramics, nature, animals, playing the guitar, dancing, and going out for breakfast with her family. Margie grew up during the Depression and was very resilient. She took that resilience and turned it into compassion and empathy, which enabled her to continue to serve others throughout her life.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fisher; her parents Harlan and Margaret Huff; her brother Carl Huff; niece Beth Huff; nephew C. Michael Huff; cousin Carolyn Klein and her daughter Karen Klein.
