Marie (Kratzer) Moyer
June 20, 1942 – August 6, 2025
Marie Moyer, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on June 20, 1942, Marie lived a life marked by kindness, devotion, and quiet strength. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth Moyer, and together they built a life rooted in faith and family.
Marie is survived by her children: James Packard Jr., Timothy Packard, and Michael Packard and his wife Lisa. A step daughter Jeneane Clark. She was a proud grandmother to Noah Packard and Savannah Dixon, and warmly welcomed Savannah’s husband, Phillip Dixon, into the family.
For nearly thirty years, Marie worked at Western Electric, where she was known for her dedication and work ethic. Outside of her professional life, she was a devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Slatington-Palmerton Congregation, where she found spiritual fulfillment and a close-knit community of faith.
Marie’s gentle spirit, unwavering love, and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Her family extends a heartfelt thank you to Family Pillars Hospice for their compassion and care during her final days. A comforting verse from the Scriptures that reflects Marie’s faith:
“Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5
