Irene Knopp, 94, of Old Forge, died Tuesday September 18, 2018 in Linwood Nursing and Rehab, Scranton. She is the widow of the Late Arthur Knopp who died in 2008. The couple was married 60 years.
Born in Old Forge she was the daughter of the late Albert and Pauline Potempa Zrudlo. She was educated in Old Forge Schools, enjoyed gardening, sewing, and tracking the daily weather.
Surviving are a daughter Carol Wooler and husband James, Old Forge; a son Arthur Knopp, Chalfont; a sister Eleanor Smith.
She was preceded in death by a sister Rose Stull and a brother Stanley Zrudlo.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Linwood Nursing and Rehab for their kind and compassionate care; also to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart especially Amy, Shelly, Meghan, Jane and Paula for their love and care of their mother through the years.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
