Myrna Brown Ludwig, 80, of Eldred, Pa, passed away December 26, 2016 at home in St. Thomas, Pa.
Born in Hazel Hurst, Pa, daughter of the late Kermit and Nora Williams Brown she was a graduate of Eldred High School and Boces Nursing School. She had worked in the Corning Glassworks, Bradford, Pa, Bradford Hospital, Sena Kean, Smethport, Pa, Lakeview, Smethport,Pa and St. Joseph, Allegheny, NY. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Phoenix Chapter #15 and a life long member of the Coryville Church of Faith.
Myrna loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to bake and make candies especially during the holidays. She was also a devoted daughter who had promised to never have her parents go into a nursing home. She selflessly took care of her mother and father in their home until their death. She was an animal lover and had many dogs and cats during her life.
Surviving are four daughter Kimberly Anne (Rice) Hale, Nora Lynn (Ludwig) Peterson, Cathy Jo Ludwig, Michelle Rae Ludwig; a son Jay Paul Rice; a brother Gary Michael Brown; 19 grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Milford Rice, the couple was married nine years; her second husband Raymond Paul Ludwig, the couple was married 18 years; her sister Dawna Mae Brown Brigger.
The family would like to thank Pastor Karmon Wood, the Music provided by Jane Carlson and Nora Peterson and all the Coryville Church members.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday June 10, 2017 at 11:00am in the Coryville Church of Faith, 1913 Moody Hollow Rd., Eldred, PA 16731, with services by Pastor Karmon Wood.
