Linda J. Harding

In Memorial

Linda Jane Harding, 72, of Dallastown, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at home. Her husband is Gary E. Harding. The couple had been married 51 years this January 2nd.

Born in York, the daughter of the late George Herbert Seifert and Beatrice May Wallick Seifert, she was a 1962 graduate of William Penn Senior High, York. She worked in Food services at York County Vocational/Technical School, York Suburban School District and York College of PA, She also worked at the BonTon Distribution Center and Shank and Tittle. She was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church, where she was a former deaconess, sang in the choir, was church gardener as well as the Official church hugger. Linda was a devoted warrior of Christ, loved her family without reservation, and spread joy where she could. She was passionate about natures gifts and made every room she walked in warm with her presence. Her journey has just begun.

Surviving are a daughter Jennifer Lynn Harding-Cawthorne wife of David Paul Cawthorne of Dallastown; a son Jeffrey Eugene Harding and his wife Caroline M. Frei Harding of Fort Worth, Texas ; Sisters Eileen Dubbs and husband Rick Dubbs, York, Janet Dudeck and husband Don Dudeck, of Laurel, Delaware; a brother Daniel George Seifert, Sr. and wife Sandy Seifert, York, PA; a grandson Joseph Paul Cawthorne; Vicki Quickel, sister-in-law, York, PA; Daniel G. Seifert, Jr, nephew, York, PA, Dina Jean Seifert, niece, York, PA, Stephanie Dubbs Henry, niece, York, PA, Stacey Dubbs Eveler,niece , Dallastown, PA, Kelly Dubbs Gordon, niece, Dallastown, PA, Michelle Seymore, niece, Delaware.

Linda’s Family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice Community Care, Mount Joy, the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church and the countless neighbors and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 7th at 1:00 PM in the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church, 1140 Witmer Rd., York, PA 17406, to be celebrated by Pastor Kevin Frain.
