Jodi Lynn Berry, 56, resident of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday morning, March 30th 2024, a the Geisinger Medical Center with her family by her side.

Jodi was born July 13th, 1967 to Ann and Neil Jefferson Frazier Sr. She grew up in the small town of Big Run, outside of Punxsutawney, with her brother Jeff Frazier. She was an incredibly talent pianist, flutist, and singer. Throughout her childhood, she shared her musical talents with her church family and Punxsutawney Area classmates.

Jodi was blessed with three daughters: Sarah, Paige, and Sophia. She shared her love of music with them and inspired all three of them to play the flute and use art and music as a form of self-expression. Both her daughters and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life and she would take any opportunity to talk about how proud they made her.

She enjoyed many simple pleasures in life. Tending to her flowers, long phone calls with her friends and daughters, a good Stephen King novel, hiking at Ricketts Glen, rewatching Sleepless in Seattle for the hundredth time and blasting ABBA all brought her immense joy. She loved to laugh and spend time with her loved ones.

In Jodi’s later years, she lived and worked in Nanticoke. She spent many years working in a local deli, Park Market, where she took great pride in serving her community.

Jodi will be remembered for many reasons; especially her love for her family/friends, empathetic heart, fun-loving spirit, storytelling capabilities, and remarkable musical talent,

Jodi is survived by her children Sarah (Andrew), Paige (Zachary), and Sophia; grandchildren Claire and Eli; brother Jeff (Jerri) and many, many friends. She will be missed dearly by all.

Celebration of Life will be held on June 15th, 2024 at Rickett’s Glen State Park. Details to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Hungry for Music charity in Jodi Berry’s name.

Our talks were so special and meaningful to me. We shared great advice to eat other as well as support, and we thought the same about a lot of things. Our talks were always filled with laughter. One time at our little bar called “Little Canada” we played the jukebox and belted out tunes to the music. We had so much spontaneous fun. She was so talented , had a voice so beautiful. She was the best singer and in that during a duet she would offer support and even in that way would shine through with that harmony. I’m not sure she believed that she was so talented cause she was so humble. She touched us all with her love. After talking to Jodi a person would feel so good about life. I miss her so but I know she is free of pain and is free of limitations. My heart and love go out to all of her family. I’ll see you all at the celebration of life.

Jodi was a friend in high school, running around with my older brother and his girlfriend Beth. She and I ended up at Clarion and become closer friends, roommates and sorority sisters. She and Bob even introduced me to my husband Dave! We had so many fun times and talks into the night.. Not only was she talented, but she was witty, fun to be around and had a huge heart. We reconnected in recent years and it was like time had never gone by. She will be missed.

Jodi was my sorority sister, we lived together in College Park at CUP. We shared many fun times at college! I remember her smile as being infectious, and I recall how much joy she felt through music and shared with our sorority to prepare for Greek Sing.

Jodi left us way too young and my heart breaks for the girls. May the happy memories give comfort as you navigate the coming days.
