Joan Marie Taylor, of Scranton, formerly of Allentown, passed away December 4, 2013. She was the daughter of the late James and Marie (McDonald) Taylor. Joan was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, Allentown School of Nursing, and Stroudsburg University, where she received a Masters Degree in Public Health Administration. In addition to being a loving, devoted mother and grandmother, Joan worked as a Registered Nurse, for several decades, until retiring. Survivors: Daughters, Karen, wife of Pierce Bentz, South Whitehall, Kasha Misura, Bethlehem, Patie, wife of Mark Dorner, Whitehall; son, Jon Kimo Misura, Pearl City, HI; sisters, Patricia, wife of the late Dale Ritter, Orefield, Barbara, wife of Joseph Gehringer, Macungie; brother, James Taylor Jr. and wife Diane, of Allentown; granddaughters, Iris Risteter, Tanya Bentz, Alex and Ava Dorner; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.Services: At the convenience of the family.
