James D. Diem, 62, of Lititz, PA died Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Hospice and community care of Mt. Joy.
Born in Lititz he was the son of the late Earl and Lorraine Mentzer Diem. He had over 35 years of services at Armstrong World Industries, Lancaster. He spent his later years in northeast Maryland and enjoyed fishing and boating on the Chesapeake Bay.
Surviving are a daughter Monica Diem Leigey, and her husband Andrew; a sister Robin Diem Volker; grandchildren Marcus, Nickolas and Hunter Leigey.
He was preceded in death by his brother Tom Diem.

Condolences for the family of “James D. Diem”
Although our paths haven’t crossed in quite awhile, I had the pleasure of working with Jim at Armstrong years ago. Jim approached life in his own unique manner and was always good for a laugh. As a young adult, Jim left an indelible mark on my life and I’m proud to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Am shocked to learn the passing of James. He was such a nice person, I will miss seeing you driving on our street and stopping on my driveway to say hello. Such a kind man you were. God bless and comfort the family. God bless.
