David Winters Price, 69, of Dunmore died Saturday, December 12, 2015 in Hospice of the Sacred Heart inpatient unit, Dunmore. His wife of 47 years is Sophie Koteck Price.
Born in Taylor, January 3, 1946, son of Hannah Price and the late Walter Price. He was a 1964 graduate of Taylor-Moosic High School, a 1976 graduate of Lackawanna College and a 1979 graduate of the University of Scranton. Until his retirement he worked as a field auditor for the State of Pennsylvania, also implemented working projects in Harrisburg and help develop new teaching programs for fellow auditors.
Also surviving is a sister Sally Greenfield.
He was preceded in death by his loving son Erick Travis Price.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart of Dunmore, Dr. James Sheerer, Dr. Terrance Cochran and Mary Beth Farrell, RN, BSN for the compassionate care given to David.
