David F. Viands, 88, of Scranton died Saturday, July 4, 2015, in Golden Living Center, Scranton. He is the husband of the former Rosemary K. Morrison. The couple was married 23 years.

Born in Alexandria, Virginia, he was the son of the late David F. Viands, Sr. He served with the United States Army and attained the rank of Sergeant. He worked as a maintenance man on the grounds of the White House. He enjoyed collecting coins.

He was preceded in death by his loving pet Pepper Boo.
