Barbara S. James, of Shavertown, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. She is the wife of John H. James. The couple was married 46 years.
Born in Wilkes Barre, the daughter of the late Earl and Evelyn Lizdas Schall she was a graduate of
Kingston High School and later went on to receive a Master Degree in Education from Bloomsburg University and Wilkes University. She taught in Wyoming Valley School District for many years, retiring in 2001.
Surviving in addition to her husband John (Jack) are two sisters, Sandy Kennedy, of Dunedin FL and Sewickley, PA and Elaine Schall of Kingston, PA and Dunedin, FL. Two daughters Kimberly Angelotti, Laguna Niguel, California and Kelly Szollosy, Exeter, PA.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to Pennsylvania Cremation Services, LLC.

Barbara was Kind ,Caring and Wonderful Person..Knowing her was a Gift from God and our Hearts are saddened by her passing. Jack we are So Sorry by her passing and she is now in the Hands of God and her suffering has ended..Mary Jo and Scott
So sorry to hear of Barbara’s passing …. she was a sweet, loving and witty woman who was always thinking of others, and she will be greatly missed. I’m hoping that everyone who knew her will be able to smile as they recall the good times they had with her.

We were so fortunate to be loved by her. She was the most loving and giving person I ever knew. She loved her friends, her students and her family the only way she knew how. With every part of herself. I will miss her every day of my life. I know you will, too. Don’t forget I love you, if I can ever help you, just call.
I am so sorry to read of Barbara’s passing. She was always supportive and sweet to me.
