After a brief battle with lung cancer of the brain Alica Ford of Texas has peacefully returned to her heavenly home on Thursday September 27, 2018 at the age of 67.
Alica was born to parents Welton Alexander Jr. (deceased) and Marian L. Alexander on August 2, 1951 in Hackensack, NJ. She grew up as the eldest of five and attended East Side High School in Paterson, N.J. Alica graduated with a bachelor degree in political science and a minor in business from Montclair State University in Montclair,N.J.
Alica’s work life was in personal health insurance . She was also a driven professional with a passion for entrepreneurial endeavors in skin care and cosmetics. As owner of Exquisite Images she was dedicated and enterprising as a professional image consultant. Her aspiration was to incite and inspire young girls and adults to be trained in proper etiquette and achieve their highest dreams and ambitions.
Alica recently relocated to Stroudsburg, PA. after her diagnosis and cancer treatments in Texas to be comforted by her loving family. She remained a brave, self-determined woman, even throughout her final weeks. She leaves behind her spouse Lonnie B. Ford of Texas.
Alica is survived by her mother Mrs. Marian L. Alexander of Stroudsburg, PA., Her aunt Mrs. Gloria Brown of Paterson N.J., step daughter Londisha Ford of Georgia, step daughter Kim Freytes of Clifton, N.J., Sister-in-law Marsha Ann Ford and Sister-in-law Sabrina Carol Ford of Texas.
Her brother Minister Timothy W. Alexander, Wife Michelle Coggins-Alexander of New York, sister Mrs. Tonya D. Sanchez, and Husband Francisco Sanchez of Stroudsburg , niece and Goddaughter Tatiana Sanchez, brother in-law Angelo Sanchez of Scranton.
Her sister Mrs.Yvonne M. Doomes of East Stroudsburg, Godson and nephew Cecil O. Doomes Jr., nephew Justen Doomes of East Stroudsburg , and niece Asha L. Doomes of Paterson, N.J.
Her sister Paulette Perry, Husband Charles Perry, niece Kayla Perry of PA.
Alica also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces, Devon Blakely, nephew Toriano Munford, niece Sherries L Pritchard, Husband Philip Pritchard great nephew Shamar Casanova, great nephew Philip Pritchard Jr.,great niece Isabella Pritchard,of Vernon NJ, niece Aisha Weaver, Husband Andrew Weaver of New Hampshire, great niece Olivia Plante-Weaver, great nephew Matthew A. Plante-Weaver, niece Desire’ R.G. Alexander,Wife Odilis Benitez of N.J., niece Tafflyn Drakeford, niece Taz, niece Tiana, nephew Tom, nephew Milton Laing, wife Ashley Laing, great nephew Grayson and Ace Laing, nephew Mark Coggins, niece Monica L. Coggins, great niece Peyton, great niece Taylynn, fiancé Trivel, nephew Martin L. Coggins, fiancé Mikayla Dyer.

Alica is preceded in death by her father Welton Alexander Jr., sister Rosalind Alexander, Uncle Thomas Harris, Godmother and Aunt, Betty Harris.
