Bernice M. Youshock, 79, a life long resident of Olyphant, PA, died Sunday morning, June 11th, after bravely fighting pancreatic cancer.
Born July 3, 1937 in Peckville, PA, loving daughter of the late Stephen and Uastania Condella. Bernice was a graduate of Olyphant High School, class of 1955.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever adore and miss her. She was a kind and loving mother, grandmother and friend. Bernice was proud of both of her children, adored her grandchildren and always looked forward to being with them. She always put others’ needs before her own, especially her family. She sacrificed so much, working so hard to provide a good life for them.
Bernice was an active member of Holy Cross Parish, Olyphant. She loved to travel with her family, especially going to Disney and taking cruises. Bernice also loved cooking, baking, gardening and playing Bingo.
She is survived by her son, Paul Youshock and wife, Shelly, Olyphant, PA; daughter, Renee Schwidel and husband Ira, Tarrytown, NY; grandchildren Gabriella and Nicholas Youshock, Olyphant, and granddaughters, Brooke and Sarah Schwidel, Tarrytown, NY; brother, Frank Condella and wife Kay, Olyphant; Stephen Condella and wife Patricia, Olyphant; and brother Joseph Condella and wife Debbie, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bernice also had a parrot, Keeko who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her sister Florence Condellaand brother Philip Condella.
A memorial service will be held on what would have been Bernice’s 80th birthday – July 3rd at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Parish, 200 Delaware Avenue, Olyphant, PA. The family will receive friends and family from 9a.m. until the service in the church vestible.
Per Bernice’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, she asked that donations be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.

I’m so sorry she had to go but we know she would want to stay given the choice to spend more time with you, Ira and Nick, and the rest of us.
